Give Back
The LGBTQIA+ community represents some of the most important people in history and may include some of the people we love most in our lives. I am truly thankful to live in a country where great strides have been made in securing rights for those who identify as LGBTQIA+ to ensure all are able to live and express themselves freely.
However, we also recognize that there is still great work to be done, both in the US and abroad, so that having pride in who you are, who you love, and how you identify is embraced and protected. So at least in our little corner of Instagram, we want to do our part in standing with and for the LGBTQIA+ community and use our platform to amplify the voices of a few special people and organizations doing just that.For the month of June, we have the pleasure of partnering with the LGBT Center of Raleigh.
The LGBT Center of Raleigh works to serve, empower, and advocate for the well-being of the diverse LGBTQIA+ communities in our area. They provide resources, program initiatives, community events, and more to support the community. This is all with a vision to build an inclusive world where LGBTQIA+ people are thriving, equal, and valued members of society.
We’ve also partnered with two wonderful, women-led businesses for this month. @brittandbliss is our talented friend who designed and handmade these wonderful totes, which 100% of the tote’s proceeds to the LGBT Center of Raleigh.
And you know we had to do something fun for our cookie of the month. We partnered with the amazing @littlebluemacaron to bring you our first ever macaron cookies! Yes – it is a macaron inside of a cookie.
